Obama: A Change from Bush?

I thought this clip from The Daily Show was really funny!  Thanks Scott for posting it!

Presidental Inaugeration at 10:30 am

You can watch the inaugeration online at hulu.com. Here is it embeded:

I plan on recording it and watching it in the evening for I don't want to take 1.5 hours out of my workday to watch it live.  I look forward to watching it for it is a part of history even though I don't agree with who it is. Obama will be my president.  We all need to pray for him in his decisions and in his safety.

99 Days to Go

Yesterday marked that there is only 100 days to go until I take the eight hour exam to determine if I become a Professional Engineer. I have a lot of studying to do between now and then, but hopefully I will do well. I have already taken a review class at the U of A and have studied 4 hours and hope to do a couple more today. In all I will need to study somewhere between 200 and 300 hours for the exam. You can do the math to figure out how much that is per day!

Also, yesterday was 30 days until we pay off our second mortgage which we are thankful for and then we are going to try to make our savings account a lot bigger for my company (like other companies that rely on construction) isn't doing that well.

In addition, today it is 36 days until ONE weekend which is a pretty awesome weekend retreat for the youth at Grace Point.

So that is some countdowns for some things that are coming up in the future of my life. Any countdowns going on in your life?

1612 Days and Counting

This is a special comment from Jenn... I cannot resist!

Michael and I have been married for 1612 days now...it has gone by so fast!  Every day has gotten better, except when we get on each others nerves.  And as time flies by, yes, we do get on each other's nerves!  But, life overall is wonderful!  I wouldn't trade Mike for any other man...except for when he goes for days without shaving (Stefanie, just wait, after a while, Scott will go scruffy)!  And going to see family is another issue!  As time goes on, I see our different families' faults.  I can stand certain family members more, by the grace of God and after 7 years of being together.  But certain family members, even Michael can't stand!  Oh, and last year, I finally made him mad by wrecking the car (this man hardly gets mad).

Married life... its an adventure!  Mike is the handsomest man, and after being married to him for the last 4.5 years, I find that I still have much more of his soul to discover.  We never run out of things to talk about.  Its amazing when we have our many heart-to-heart conversations and we "dream" (that is a loose term) about the future.

And I can't wait to have his babies...his little redheads are going to be so cute!  But we still have to practice first!  Practice makes perfect!

This is Mike's onry wife signing out,
